KZ is a game about jumping, purely technical and require the sync among operating mouse and keyboard. The player operates the character in a map which is specifically designed for KZ and utilize all kinds of technics to go to the end point from the start points. Good Luck and Have Fun. Kreedz Climbing is a unique, non-violent, puzzle-platformer type total conversion for Half-Life 2 where the player attempts to climb or jump his or her way to the top of a given environment, in a race against time and other players.
A few friends and I are looking to spend a couple of months this summer working full-time on building a game. We recently came up with the idea of a 3D platformer focusing on skill-based movement like bhopping, surfing, etc. Depending on community response and the amount of time we put in, the game could feature. a logical sequence of complete platforming levels, including tutorial stages for beginners;. movement physics and controls true to CS:GO, but optimized for smooth hopping and surfing;.
other interesting movement mechanics we come up with along the way;. a clean, modern aesthetic (think Mirror's Edge);. support for community level-building;. a fun soundtrack;. a low price tag (in the $5 range). Would the community be interested in such a game?

Or are people content to play CS:GO and CS:S mods? Let us know your thoughts!
It'd be nice to see the devs just allow custom game modes for community servers by changing a few variables, they could even just let other people code the custom mods but just provide the platform for introducing it onto servers, just like they kind of do with skins and maps now. For example, a big problem in the surf community is that competitive surfers look down upon CS:GO surfing for a few small reasons that really do make surfing detrimental in CS:GO if you're looking to achieve the best times.

But what if it could be possible to slightly decrease player hitboxes (without actually changing the model), re-enable prestrafing, and small things like that? It'd be great for community servers and help bridge the two communities. I might be idealistic though, idk if that kind of stuff is worth the devs time. Hey, that's me! So yeah my idea for Momentum Mod was to create a (free) mod on the Source SDK 2013 engine that replicates CS:S movement for surfing, bhop, and kz. We plan to a have a custom main menu with map selection, a custom campaign (Stanley-Parable style with tutorials, etc), custom spectating and chat systems to support large amounts of people, centralized leaderboards, and all other types of things.
We're going to be open to ideas once we start solidifying some of these! The idea was to be able to mount CS:S and perhaps GO and others, but the main reason the mod will be made is to get people into surf/bhop without needing to buy any CS game to begin with. This means original maps, or replacing textures of popular maps, in order to work fully even if the user doesn't have CS:S to mount. I'm still in school for 2 weeks, but I plan to be working on this (as well as speedrunning HL2) with all my free time, so if you ever want to check that out, I'll most likely end up streaming it! We're going to have lots of public alphas/betas eventually, which I will also be announcing on my stream, because we want this mod to feel just right, and work out/stress test the features (and issues therein) before release. If anybody wants to check out the source files for this, we do have that you can check out.
